Quick answers

FAQ & Venues

The questions teams ask most, answered straight. Anything still being set says so here rather than guessing.

What sports does SD Sports Events run?

Lacrosse, soccer, and baseball tournaments. Each sport has its own page with the events we have for it.

How does our team enter a tournament?

Use the Register a Team page. Your entry is saved as soon as you send it — nothing is charged in the form.

How do I know our team is in?

Confirmed teams are published on the master list for that sport, so you can check the list for your name.

What age divisions do you run?

Every age from intro play for the youngest players (4U–6U) through 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U, and high-school age for 15U–18U, in lacrosse, soccer, and baseball. We run youth divisions only — there are no adult brackets. The Rules page carries the birth-date chart and field set for every division.

How is a player's age checked?

By birth date against the chart for that sport, not by school grade. Soccer follows the August 1 to July 31 formation cycle US Youth Soccer adopted from the 2026-27 season. Baseball uses the age a player reaches by April 30 of the season, the date Cal Ripken Baseball uses. USA Lacrosse requires members 18 and under to complete a one-time age verification. Bring a birth certificate, passport, or school ID to every event.

Does a player need to be registered with a national body?

Lacrosse players need USA Lacrosse membership with age verification for 18U and under. The soccer and baseball membership each event requires is published with that event — ask us and we'll confirm it for your specific tournament.

Can a player move up a division?

A player may move up one division with our written approval. Moving down is not allowed — a division is a ceiling, not a floor.
